Fred specialises in advising clients from the art, cultural property and classic car sectors.

He also advises entrepreneurs and privately held businesses on their various business arrangements in a broad range of sectors.

In the art, cultural property and classic car sectors, Fred’s clients include collectors, event organisers, artists, dealers, galleries, auction houses, art fairs, public institutions and private collections. He advises on the full range of commercial matters relevant to his clients, including sale and purchase agreements, consignment agreements, commission agreements, loans, terms of business and import and export matters. He has experience advising on issues relating to title, provenance, history, authenticity and condition and in relation to looted art, restitution. . Fred also an author for the Firm’s dedicated art law blog, Art Law & More and a member of the digital assets team – a cross departmental specialist group who advise on everything from cryptocurrency to digital artwork and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Fred is on the advisory board of the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.

In the business services sector, Fred advises on M&A, debt and equity finance, shareholder and Board governance issues and other corporate and contractual matters. He has experience dealing with data protection and intellectual property matters.
