Boodle Hatfield named ‘International Legal Team of the Year (midsize firm)’ for the third year at the STEP Awards 2024

Boodle Hatfield’s Private Wealth team has been awarded 'International Legal Team of the Year (midsize firm)' for the third year in a row at the annual Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Awards 2024.

Clare Pooley, Clare Stirzaker, Hayden Bailey, Laura Cullinane and Nicola Bushby collected the award at the STEP ceremony on 19 September at London Hilton on Park Lane, where the firm was shortlisted for ‘Family Business Advisory Practice of the Year’; ‘International Legal Team of the Year (midsize firm)’ and 'Contentious Trusts and Estates Team of the Year (midsize firm)'.

The categories were made up of a strong set of finalists, with Boodle Hatfield shortlisted alongside Bär & Karrer, Harbottle & Lewis, Harneys and Lenz & Staehelin for its international work. The judging panel noted that “The firm has a strong, experienced team, incredible international reach, and a proactive approach to attracting and securing new clients. The judges described it as a one-stop-shop for major international families, covering all areas of legal advice."

STEP is the worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations and the awards are seen as the hallmark of quality within the private client sector, recognising and celebrating excellence among private client lawyers, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisers. Now in its 18th year, the awards saw a record number of nominations, with 343 submissions received across 29 countries.

For the last eight years we have had continued success at the annual STEP awards, where the firm have been named winners in at least one category every year and most recently named ‘International Legal Team of the Year’ & ‘Family Business Advisory Practice of the Year’ in 2023.
