Boodle Hatfield shortlisted for ‘Gender Equality Initiative of the Year’ at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards

We are thrilled to announce that Boodle Hatfield has been shortlisted as a finalist in the highly competitive Gender Equality Initiative of the Year category at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards.
This prestigious award celebrates initiatives that have successfully advanced diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession, and our recognition follows the launch of our gender-neutral parental leave policy, which took effect in 2024.
Our pioneering policy offers equal access to parental leave for all employees, providing access to 26 weeks fully paid leave (spread across 39 weeks), regardless of gender, role, or pathway to parenthood. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that supports all colleagues and ensures equity in opportunities and experiences.
The launch of the policy marks a significant milestone in our broader workplace culture transformation, which began in 2023 under new leadership. Through initiatives like this, we aim to build on Boodle Hatfield’s 300-year legacy by creating an environment where all individuals feel empowered to thrive.
The Women and Diversity in Law Awards encompass 35 categories, recognising outstanding leaders, practitioners, legal teams, and businesses that are driving progress to ensure the UK legal profession is more equitable and reflective of society. The calibre of entries across all categories has been noted as exceptional, with over 170 finalists showcasing their achievements. We extend our congratulations to all the individuals and teams who have been shortlisted.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 18 March at Hilton London Bankside. For more information about our gender-neutral parental leave policy, please click here and for more information on the awards visit www.womenanddiversityinlawawards.com/
