Boodle Hatfield, a leading private wealth and real estate law firm, announced today that fee income during 2021-22 financial year rose from £29.4m to £30.7m reflecting a 4% year on year increase.
Over the last six years the firm has averaged an annual increase of 5.5% in revenue and a 14% average increase in profit.
This news comes as the firm celebrates its 300th year in business – a remarkable milestone that focuses on creating a legacy to benefit future generations, clients and communities. Boodle Hatfield has been guiding successful individuals, families and businesses since 1722. It continues to show signs of momentous growth having experienced a 38% increase in revenue and 113% increase in profit over the last six years.
Commenting on these results, Sara Maccallum said:
“At the start of the financial year there was cause for caution with the global pandemic still at its peak, however, our clients remained active right across our core practice areas and strong activity levels across the firm has delivered robust financial results.
Given the pandemic, it’s a fantastic achievement to have been able to realise solid growth. This really comes down to our people who have pulled together fantastically over the last few years to ensure we remain a strong firm, delivering exceptional advice to our clients.”
In the last 6 months, two lateral hires have bolstered the firm’s offering in private client and property. This includes the recent arrival of Clare Stirzaker, former Head of Private Client at PwC and Jonathan Hyndman – property finance partner from Rosling King. This follows six further lateral hires in the past five years and seven partner promotions.
The firm is also delighted to report a 75% trainee retention rate this year and look forward to welcoming a further four new trainees to the firm in September.
