Boodle Hatfield upholds top band status in Chambers HNW Guide 2021

Boodle Hatfield's reputation as one of London's leading private wealth law firms remains, as the firm upholds its band one status in the 2021 High Net Worth (HNW) guide and is recognised in the top ranking of the newly introduced Family Offices & Funds Structuring category.
The sixth edition of the HNW guide, published on 22 July 2021 has ranked Boodle Hatfield in the top band of firms for Private Wealth Disputes, Private Wealth Law: Oxford and Real Estate: High Value Residential Property for the fifth consecutive year. The industry respected guide has also recognised the firm in band one of the newly introduced Family Offices & Funds Structuring category in 2021. The new table identifies the leading professional advisers to the private wealth market covering single Family Office corporate structuring, regulatory compliance and fund formation/direct investing by Family Offices.
This year’s guide heralds Boodle Hatfield as a “one-stop shop for international ultra-wealthy families and family offices” highlighting how the Firm is “at the very top of its game” and has a “historic reputation” with “brilliant leadership” and a focus on “getting the best outcome for the client.” Chambers have recognised 22 of the firms lawyers as ‘Leading Individuals’, one with ‘Expertise Based Abroad’ and two as ‘Foreign Experts’ in the Middle East.
Some of the firms particular highlights this year includes:
- Remarkable recognition in newly introduced Family Offices & Funds Structuring category noting the “collegiate” “nimble” team with two top ranked leading individuals; Rahul Thakrar and Salpy Kouyoumjian, regarded as ” the best… lawyer(s) in London”
- Simon Fitzpatrick, Partner and Head of the Arts practice elevated to band one, noting him as “one of the very best lawyers working in this sphere” with a “wealth of experience and knowledge”.
- The firm saw a number of changes to the leading High Value Residential category led by top ranked Partner Saskia Arthur, with Partner and “one of London’s leading experts in enfranchisement law” Simon Kerrigan being elevated in the rankings, alongside Partner, Jane Littlejohn and newly promoted partner and “superstar” Edward Allan.
- The “truly excellent” private wealth team saw three notable practitioners elevated in the rankings – Partners, Salpy Kouyoumjian, Hayden Bailey, Mark Lindley.
The guide also recognised the firms breadth across the private wealth specialisms with sustained strong rankings in the Arts & Cultural Property Law, Family and Private Wealth – London categories.
